A bstract We study the half-BPS circular Wilson loop in $$ \mathcal{N} N = 4 super Yang-Mills with orthogonal gauge group. By supersymmetric localization, its expectation value can be computed exactly from a matrix integral over Lie algebra of SO( N ). focus on large limit and present some simple quantitative tests duality type IIB string theory AdS 5 × ℝℙ . In particular, we show that strong coupling spinor representation group precisely matches classical action dual object, which is expected to D5-brane wrapping subspace also briefly discuss , λ limits ) symmetric/antisymmetric representations their D3/D5-brane duals. Finally, use description extract leading behavior “bremsstrahlung function” associated probe charge, or equivalently normalization two-point function displacement operator loop, obtain agreement localization prediction.

We study the Wilson loops in the three dimensional QFT from the D-branes in the AdS4× CP3 geometry. We find out explicit D-brane configurations in the bulk which correspond to both straight and circular Wilson lines extended to the boundary of AdS4. We analyze critically the role of boundary contributions to the D2-branes with various topology and fundamental string actions.
